Photo Contest Rules

Rules and Terms of Entry: 

· Photo will be voted on by visitors to any of the local sites maintained by McIntech Publishing Co. Voting is cast by IP address logging. Photos with multiple votes by the same IP address/range may be disqualified if your votes are deemed to be abusive or manipulates the system in order to win. 
  
  

· Photos which will NOT be accepted are those which depict the object in a derogatory fashion or those in which the object appears to have been placed in a dangerous setting. Our staff reserves the right to refuse any photograph that they define as unacceptable.
 

· Photos must be entered into our contest using the Submit a Photo link on our website or mailed to

777 Oak Ave. #20 Spruce Pine NC 28777.

Photos will be resized automatically in order to ensure timely downloads for all our website visitors. Mailed photos cannot be returned.
 

· Photo may be color or black/white. 
 

· Entering your photo means you grant McIntech Publishing Co. permission to publish the photo and your name on the web site and any additional publications announcing winners. Email, personal address and phone number will not be published, nor will we ever share your information with any third parties.
 

· Winner's photo becomes the property of McIntech Publishing Co. 
 

· Winners will be notified by email within 7 days after the contest deadline.
 

· Winners must accept terms of contest before prize package is released.  If terms are not accepted within 15 days of first notification, prize package will be forfeited. 
 

· Winners must claim their prize(s) within 30 days of notification or prize(s) will be forfeited. 
 

· Employees of McIntech Publishing Co. and their families are not eligible to participate.

 

· Not responsible for late or misdirected mail or e-mail.

· It is the submitter's responsibility to verify receipt of photo by calling 828-385-1253 or 385-3429 or requesting an email from McIntech Publishing Co.

· Prizes are based on availability and are subject to change. If this should happen, we will substitute with a similar item at an equal or greater value.
     

· Photos will gain local exposure. If an agency contacts us for information about a photo, we will not share any information, but will contact the photo entrant with a message from the agency. 
 

· Entries received after the deadline will automatically be entered into the following month's contest. 
 

· Professional photos may be submitted if the copyright of said photo is owned by the submitter. We may require you to send a letter relinquishing those copyrights to McIntech Publishing Co. if your photo wins.

· McIntech Publishing Co. reserves the right to modify and/or change the contest conditions at any time. Contest rules shall be deemed in effect when posted on our site and will be effective at such time. By entering our contest you agree to abide by our terms and act in good faith in accordance with the rules.

 · Winner has to be located in our McIntech Publishing Co.'s site areas to receive the prize(s).

· Winner's of the contest can only win once every six months. 

· Contestants can only enter one photo per contest. Multiple photos from the same entrant will be disguarded.

These terms will be in effect with the July 1st 2006 contest.
